Sustainable development in the Amazon Rain Forest

Amazon Green Hope

Cleanup initiative

Our sponsor Transporte Fluvial JV E.I.R.L. with the help of one of our clients took out 200 KG of plastic waste from the Amazon river. Iquitos is a city of 600.000 inhabitants. It produces 30 tonnes of plastic waste per day. Several tonnes of this waste are thrown into the river every day. As a society we need a structural solution to this problem. Come to help us for a more sustainable solution.

Our Logo

Our logo is inspired by the Victoria Amazonica, a plant unique to the Amazon River. The leaf symbolizes protection, one leaf of the Victoria Amazonica offers protection for up to one thousand different species of plants and animals. The Flower symbolizes hope for a better tomorrow for all the inhabitants of the Amazon rain forest, humans and animals alike.

Our Projects

Currently Peru has a vast untapped resource that could be used to create green energy. This resource is called organic waste. Currently most organic waste is dumped, in the case of Loreto into the Amazon rainforest. This is both a terrible contamination of the environment and a lost opportunity for green energy.

Due to unawareness of the damage the HPV virus causes Uterine cancer is a huge problem in Iquitos. We are supporting a project that raises awareness of HPV and offers testing and treatment to women.

Local Economic Development

Loreto is the most underdeveloped region in Peru. Investing in green energy solutions will create local economic activity. Improving both the climate and local living standards.

President of the Association

Carmen Nunez. A obstetrician that is active in politics. She is our main spokeperson towards the local politics. She has a very wide network on the local level, the Regional level and the national level.

Our director has organized various social projects in the past. She did a sustainable development project in Celendin. The goal was to clean up the city and use the organic waste as a renewable resource. For this she needed to educate the local populace on the importance of waste separation and recycling. The organic waste is composted and sold creating a sustainable project.Today Celendin is still one of the cleanest cities in Peru and the local government has won many prizes.

She also did a project to raise awareness on uterine cancer. She educated the population on the importance of regular testing. She then proceeded to organize a mobile testing facility that to this day continues in operation. The part of Peru where this project is active has markably lower uterine cancer incidence than the rest of Peru.
